“If we do nothing to change our emotional pattern of behavior, tomorrow will resemble yesterday in most details except the date.” — Moshe Feldenkrais
In this workshop we will discuss Dr. Feldenkrais’s thoughts on self-transformation. I will demonstrate and discuss how to apply Functional Integration and Awareness Through Movement lessons to change habits of anxiety, post-traumatic stress, depression, compulsivity and sexuality. I will also present innovative psychotherapeutic approaches and current theories in neuroscience that support Feldenkrais’s thinking.
Donna Ray (1986), MA, MFT, is a Feldenkrais trainer, educational director and psychotherapist who has studied and taught human transformation for more than 25 years. Her private practice (Cardiff, San Diego) and teaching include infants to seniors, those severely challenged to successful performers. She is interested in improving relational behaviors using the Feldenkrais Method and psychotherapy.
