Many people have the diagnosis or the symptoms of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS): muscle and nerve pain in the neck, jaw, shoulder and/or hand. The Feldenkrais Method can be very beneficial to those experiencing these debilitating symptoms. Learn the anatomy of this diagnosis, what nerve glides are, and how to differentiate between TOS and other disorders which mimic TOS. Explore how the Feldenkrais Method can be most helpful, using tactile, vestibular, auditory, and self-image strategies.
Charlotte Watership (1991) has practiced the Feldenkrais Method in her private practice and with certified hand therapists, specializing in clients experiencing shoulder, elbow and hand injuries and neurological disorders. Charlotte has also been an occupational therapist for 28 years and has been fascinated by the connection of the Feldenkrais Method and Sensory Integration.
