Conference 2011 2011 Conference Workshop Open To: Practitioners / Trainees

The Feldenkrais® teacher’s job is to talk to a person’s brain through movement. That would be a bit messy if it weren’t for the lovely brain handles that have been provided for this purpose. When viewed this way, the skeleton, eyes, ears, etc., become conduits through which we talk directly and powerfully to the nervous system, rather than places we need to remember how to lift, push or pull.
In this workshop, as you learn to focus your intention as a teacher, you will find what brain handle is the most direct link to new possibilities. You will discover how to create rigorous and cogent Functional Integration® lessons organically and spontaneously as you connect with the language of the brain.

Paris Kern (1994) Paris works primarily in Baltimore, MD, where she has assisted and organized the last two Feldenkrais training programs. She also travels internationally to teach in trainings and her “Riding with the Whole Self” clinics. Paris delights in demystifying the process of F.I. through mentoring, and likes to explain complex things in simple, fun and common sense ways.
