We each inherit a legacy from our female ancestors whether we want that legacy or not. Whether we are identified with that legacy or wish it would never appear again, we are behaving in ways that are influenced by that very history.

Your mother’s mother’s mother was an influence in your life as was her mother’s mother and her mother’s mother’s mother. Dig down into your family archeology, increase your awareness of what the legacy is, and distinguish between was is learned and what is inherited. Bring a photograph or two of your most influential female relative(s) and be prepared to tell a few stories, explore your habits of relating to this person, and discover your own personal “ahas” to take away and work with in your daily life.

Finding and feeling the connection to a physical and cultural inheritance isn’t just Kim’s story, it is every woman’s story. For her, it’s was a journey toward reintegrating the wandering parts of her internal and external self. Kim encourages you to invest in the challenging process of examining your family legacy so you can gain the rewards of internal peace.
