Description:

Please join Edward Yu, published author & Feldenkrais® practitioner, for The Art of Slowing Down (ASD).  ASD is a ground-breaking approach to learning which can be applied to athletics, martial arts, and fitness training, as well as to rehabilitation. ASD involves meticulous explorations of movement, performed in special sequences in order to engage multiple layers of the brain and nervous system. Rooted in the Feldenkrais Method®, Bagua and Taichi, ASD take advantage of the mind’s intrinsic and vast ability to learn and improve via sensory awareness and exploration. In doing so, ASD has the potential to increase coordination, strength, speed, agility, flexibility and balance in surprising ways, while at the same time decreasing parasitic tension and propensity toward injury.
