Whether you are a yogi or meditator, or would just like more comfort in sitting, you’ll benefit from this workshop. When your pelvis moves naturally, movements of your upper and lower body coordinate to produce powerful, precise, graceful movements – and physical comfort in moving or sitting.
The workshop will include:
-Two Awareness Through Movement® (ATM®) lessons
Limit: 12 students.
Requirement: Please be comfortable lying on your back, stomach, or side, and floor sitting.
What to wear: Wear several layers of loose-fitting clothing.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Angela Alston first sought out the Feldenkrais Method® for chronic neck and shoulder pain. She began practitioner training in 2005 at the Feldenkrais® Institute of New York under the direction of David Zemach-Bersin, one of Moshe Feldenkrais’ original US students. Angela was certified to teach ATM classes in 2008 and offers a regular series at MoveStudio. She has studied a variety of dance forms and has practiced yoga for 10 years. Angela also takes Nia, Zumba, and Pilates classes. She has been a student of Shambhala and Buddhism since 1996.
