Description:

You put one foot in front of another to walk . . . and it seems so easy. Until something goes awry and you stumble or struggle to feel balanced and comfortable. The nuances of balance and forward motion can be refined and honed so you can use your most nimble and deft self in all your activities.

From the way your feet contact the ground to the way you carry your head on your shoulders, your posture either creates forward motion or obstruction. Learn how to tell the difference so you can continue moving forward without working against yourself.

You will leave this workshop with 3 simple strategies to work with when you begin to feel slow or sluggish or awkward. Come examine your gait and your relationship to the ground. Find out how you can gain agility and regain the spring in your step.

Kim has been obsessed with feet and walking since she hobbled her way through her first marathon in 1990. Since then, she’s been on a mission to improved her own health and the health of her clients. She finished the 2003 Portland Marathon faster and with less recovery and since then has coached half marathon and casual walkers. Kim’s intention is to put knowledge and how-to in her clients’ hands so each one can take better care of self, have more fun, and enjoy life.
