An event every week that begins at 6:00am on Saturday, repeating until December 2, 2018

Two movement activities even more naturally married than some of our other offerings, the Feldenkrais  Method and Yoga both promote stability and oneness in the physical and mental self. Both use movement and breath and help to develop awareness, improving skeletal support, increasing muscular efficiency, and support the idea that beautiful movement emerges from good organization.

Where they differ is in yoga’s direction to identify and push limits, as opposed to Feldenkrais’ intent on exploring existing relationships between parts of body and mind, and to improve upon their efficiency. Practice of both can enhance practice of each in that their benefits align on a growth pattern toward centeredness and wellness.

In this class, we will explore how Awareness Through Movement and Asana intersect and complement each other.
