Transformation?!? It’s our conference theme, but what exactly does it mean?
In a fast-paced, uncertain and unpredictable world, can the Feldenkrais Method® be a means to transform individuals and even society? Can society be transformed without transforming the individual? What is the connection between function and transformation?
The global potential for the Feldenkrais Method to transform both individual and society has yet to be realized. How do we attract individuals and organizations in search of transformation? How can we apply the principles of the Method to transform how we are perceived?
Our panel of Feldenkrais trainers and teachers will debate these questions and listen to your suggestions about how the Art and Science of the Feldenkrais Method can be transformational.
Who is our moderator? Dr. Staffan Elgelid PT, Ph.D., GCFP, C-IAYT is Professor of Physical Therapy at Nazareth College in Rochester NY. He is certified in the Feldenkrais Method and Yoga Therapy. Staffan co-authored “Yoga for Stress and Anxiety” and “Yoga Therapy, A Personalized Approach for Your Active Lifestyle.” He has also produced several DVDs. Staffan is a Board member of the Yoga Alliance.
Our panelists, Ruthy Alon, David Zemach Bersin, Candy Conino, Diane Hanneman plus one mystery guest, will debate these questions and also listen to your ideas about how the “Art and Science” of the Feldenkrais Method can be transformational.
